Introduction	I am the Senior Policy Officer at the Global AIDS Alliance, a non-governmental organization based in Washington, DC. There is a link to our website somewhere on this page, so if you want to learn more about our work check it out. I love to travel, so a job that takes me to Africa makes me pretty happy. I also believe that it is my responsibility to use my energies to make the world a better place. I have done this in a range of ways--learning about other cultures through their literature and by visiting far-away places and making new friends, raising awareness about human rights violations around the world, standing up for women who are abused, and now working to stop the ravages of global AIDS. But wait, I'm back to work again. So, more about me: I love to read, to travel, to go dancing, to spend as much time as possible in the mountains, and a cup of hot tea with my cat on my lap. And maybe now I'll love blogging, too.
