Introduction	I'm a 40something year old woman living in Portland, OR. I currently work as a web communications director for a university. I've been through some serious life transitions, but always trying to stay afloat and recognize the humor in daily life. In the meantime, I occupy my time with the following: raising a very smart and active dog, riding my bike like a madwoman, taking up running, filling my mind with useless trivia that will one day come in handy (it has to), discovering new music, traveling to and from Vancouver BC to see my sweetheart, and spending quality time with friends.
Interests	MUSIC, reading, cycling, hiking, running (just starting out!), dogs and animals in general, independent films, art, fashion, spirits and libations, cooking, traveling and socializing.
Favorite movies	Blade Runner, Local Hero, The Red Violin, To Kill a Mockingbird, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Whale Rider, Rabbit Proof Fence, The Philadelphia Story, Roman Holiday... god, so many more, too many to remember.
Favorite music	I will listen to pretty much anything once, but if I had to choose favorite artists that I return to year after year: David Bowie, Duran Duran, Peter Murphy, Concrete Blonde, Air, Goldfrapp. With all that said, you will find me listening to Nina Simone one day, Roger Miller the next, and Hot Chip as well. I am a music whore.
