| Introduction | Shortly after my 32nd birthday, we moved from a metropolitan city in the Midwest to Portland, OR, a much more manageable city as I recently discovered. My initial resistance has been overcome by the mild weather and lively food cart culture. As we slowly settle in, I want to capture bits of the experience. So one day when I look back and recount the first days of Portland, I can say "that's how it all happened..." |
