| Introduction | I love teaching! The best part is watching the excitement on the faces of my students. Everyday is a new learning experience for me. There is never a dull moment! |
| Interests | Nanette Musters grew up on the coast of Maine and moved to Houston in her teens. She received her B.A. in History and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston. She continued her education through workshops at the University of St. Thomas, The teachers College at Columbia University and Rice University. Nanette has been an active participant in Rice University’s School Writing Project for years. She was named Director of this project in 2007. With this new responsibility, she will be conducting writing workshops for teachers throughout the year, which will culminate with a student reading on the Rice University Campus. Nanette has been teaching in elementary education for fifteen years in public and private schools. She is a first generation Dutch-American and comes from long line of educators. Nanette currently resides in Houston with her husband Nick and lives next door to her mother and father (which is a very interesting, long and thought provoking story!). |
