Introduction	I'm a British writer who writes about philosophy, psychology, politics and culture. I'm also policy director at the Centre for the History of the Emotions at Queen Mary, University of London. I often write on ancient Greek and Roman philosophies and how we can use them in modern life. I've written a book about that, called Philosophy for Life and Other Dangerous Situations, which is being published by Rider Books in 2012, and translated into several languages.
