| Introduction | I'm Marisa Gaggino and I own the heritage company II architectural artifacts. www.heritageco2.com. I opened it in 1992,as an architectural salvage supply place with a few antiques. In the next 18 years I managed to buy a 1920's lumber cutting barn, renovate it, and move my collection of salvage, antiques, found objects and collectibles into downtown Royal Oak, Michigan. Other people liked my style and I started doing furniture, interior and commercial design projects. Along the way I met a sculptor Rick Gage who took my designs to a whole new level with his vast abilities at making anything and making it beautiful. My brother-in-law who gave me my start is the prince of preservation in Western Michigan. He has the original Heritage Company store in Kalamazoo. He's the go-to guy for building parts and assorted antiques. He has saved countless homes and buildings from bad renovations and demolition.
