| Introduction | I am the mother of two boys who both delight and frustrate me every day. My husband and I are raising them in Houston and praying that there will not be another hurricane exodus again this year. I am a high school English and Journalism teacher who came to the profession much later in life than most teachers. After receiving my B.S. in Journalism, I worked as a retail manager for many years, finally coming to the realization that teaching was my real calling. Having children helped me come to that realization, and I couldn't be happier that it turned out this way. That's not to say that there aren't days I wish I could hop on plane and take off for parts unknown, but for the most part, I'm enjoying the ups and downs of this roller coaster ride. |
