Introduction	I am the Public Information Officer for the Bootheel Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol; a former reporter and newspaper columnist, a wife and mother in love with life and all the surprises it can bring. I am way more than happily married to the love of my life, my husband Gary. We are partners in raising the light of both our lives, our son Logan. For almost nine years, I have been sick with a rare, and up to this point, incurable illness that requires frequent visits to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I'm a big believer in not giving up, in keeping on even when the odds are stacked against you. I believe in living the life you have been given to the fullest, even if that life is not the one you expected or hoped for or dreamed of. I'm a fan of hugs, caffeine, furry critters, caffeine, smiles, caffeine, rainbows, caffeine, and secret acts of kindness for no other reason than the fact that you can.
