Introduction	I refuse to think of myself as a foodie. There is something about the word "foodie" that reminds me of "Trekie" which is indicative of nothing good. Sorry, I've just lost my Trekie-food-loving audience. Rather, I am a guy who just found out what the hell a Sunchoke was. I don't know that many names of chefs and I don't save menus from meals I've had. Instead, I keep them in in my heart, head and stomach. I was privy to an experience I will never forget. It took place in a private back room no one knows about. To me, it was the epitome of a perfect evening -- incredible things to eat at their simplest level, surrounded by people who were even more exited than me to eat them.
