Introduction I'm just a girl, despairingly in 2017 now entering her late 20s, that's trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. I'm a Gemini with my Moon in Capricorn; my personality type is INFJ-T. My main passion in life is rock and roll music from the '60s and '70s, and all of the wonderful characters--the epic front men, sinewy guitarists, wild women, beggars, drug dealers, and hangers on--not to mention the style, scandals, drug busts, and sex that it included. My favorite band is the Rolling Stones--the line-up featuring Marianne Faithfull and Anita Pallenberg, who are the stars of most of my posts. Anita's passing on June 13, 2017, has hit me quite hard. Every picture posted on this blog is my own personal scan. I spend my disposable income on eBay and other such places, buying books, original photographs, magazines, lobby cards, etc., on the stuff I post about. I spend a LOT of money on this, and a lot of time scanning, editing the photos as best I can, etc., so please, if you want to save my pictures and re-post them on another site, please credit. I've been discouraged by seeing so many of my scans appear all over the internet, why I haven't posted in 5.5 years.
Interests '60s and '70s rock 'n' roll--the great men who made it and the great women who inspired it
Favorite Movies Almost Famous (or rather, "Unititled, " the bootleg, uncut edition of the film), Gimme Shelter, Cocksucker Blues, Heathers, Four Weddings And A Funeral, Sense And Sensibility (with Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet), Pride And Prejudice (the BBC version), American Beauty, Beautiful Girls, Strictly Ballroom, Wedding Crashers, Empire Records, Performance, The Princess Bride, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and pretty much anything starring Johnny Depp or Kate Winslet, or made by Woody Allen.
Favorite Music The Rolling Stones, '70s Aerosmith, Guns n' Roses, Gram Parsons, The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Black Crowes, The Faces (and early solo Rod), Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The New York Dolls, The Heartbreakers, Richard Hell, The Yardbirds, The Stooges, The Only Ones, Montrose, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Mötley Crüe, and many more. Any good rock 'n' roll, nothing too limp-wristed, made from approximately 1965 - 1991 is what I get down to.
Favorite Books Faithfull: An autobiography; A Confederacy Of Dunces; Less Than Zero; Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas; Keith Richards: The Biography by Victor Bockris; Up And Down With The Rolling Stones; Old Gods Almost Dead; Kingdom of Fear; The Great Gatsby; Memories, Dreams and Reflections (by Marianne); lots of other Stones books.
