| Introduction | I create jewellery and accessories under the label 'taikensonzai'. It is a long-time personal project exploring and experimenting with boundaries of perception relating to what is wearable... I love creating unexpected combinations in structure, method, materials, colours, shapes and textures to create multi-functional gear which can be worn multiple ways. With a strong element of recycled/upcycled materials utilised in the process, every product is one of a kind and there is no room for careless design decisions. This philosophy is my personal antithesis against mindless mass production, and a quest towards zero-waste and cradle-to-cradle design and business practices. |
