| Introduction | Being a single-parent for 20+ years has been a challenge; we had the electric shut off a few times, were homeless for awhile and didn’t often get new clothes to wear. I always had a job but was not well-paid. We never went hungry though. My kids turned out great; all went to college and are well-adjusted despite the trials they had to face. They had the perfect preparation for the reality of living in our volatile economy. I’ve been writing a book about my experience with advice for others who are struggling. I’m working on it, but hope that followers of this blog will keep me on task to finish it. Once I am done, I am sure readers will have additional questions, so hope to answer them here. |
