| Introduction | As a healthcare consultant, I have a commitment to improving the operations of health systems and physician practices to better serve patients and their families. Starting with a nursing career, I've moved through a variety of positions over the years gaining exposure in all parts of the healthcare industry from providers to vendors, to yes, occasionally as a patient or caregiver. I only work part time as a consultant since my retirement from an international healthcare company, so I have time to enjoy writing on the topics of health care and process improvement, leadership and management...hence my new blog...Making Health Care Work. As a medical editor, I work with nurse researchers whose first language is not English to bring their research to publication.
