About me

Location China
Interests We are Randy & Rita Rippee. We've lived and worked in China since August 2004 when we moved our family here. We moved to China to work with and help improve the lives of orphans. We have five children; two grown children Josh and Amanda who live in the US, and three adopted Chinese daughters Elise, Shawna and Elizabeth. Currently we live in a small village and work full-time with orphans. We have begun a home called "The Forever Home" for older orphan girls. This is their home while they wait to be adopted and if never adopted will live with us. This home is a project of New Day Foster Home. We manage this home and are the house parents. We will educate them and provide training of some life skill so that, if they are physically and/or mentally able, when they get older, they will be able to live and support themselves on their own. Life in the countryside is laid back and interesting in many ways. People often ask us what living in China is like. While the answer often varies from individual to individual, I can tell you that our family loves it and now feels more at home here than anywhere else. Hopefully some of our experiences will enable you to learn more about China and it's people we've come to love!
