| Introduction | I was born in Murcia, Spain. I began my dance training aged 10 at the Professional Conservatory of Dance in Murcia. It was here that Jose Antonio Robles encouraged me to pursue a career as dancer. In 1994 I moved to the School of Carmina Ocaña in Madrid to complete my studies. I was chosen to join the Company of Victor Ullate, where I became a soloist in 1998. Then, in 2000 I was offered a contract as a soloist level with the English National Ballet. It was a wonderful opportunity so I was very happy to move to London. After four great years in London I joined Het National Ballet of the Netherlands under the direction of Ted Brandsen. Ted has been instrumental in allowing me to develop as a choreographer and I have created numerous works for Het National Ballet. My work has also been performed at the New Moves festival in Amsterdam, National ballet of Slovenia, Dutch National Ballet and private solo engagements performed at International competition level and a wide variety of European dance festivals. |
