| Introduction | i have so many interests that photography is natural to me to shoot them all!! you can find my many portfolios here on my fan page, on my personal site (mostly via mobile uploads) and my on my website www.joanayoungphotography.com ♥ |
| Interests | i feel with my mother's passion for dance and performances, i grew to appreciate "the arts" with a strong passion. when it came down to shooting with a camera, i just extended this passion to whatever interesting things that i saw. i had no idea about 'rules' of photography. i did, however, learn about photography though a b&w photography class in high school where we developed our own photos. i encourage everyone who is interested in photography to learn of the basics of developing film. the knowledge of shooting in the camera is key to great photos since this is what the legends did... and some who never even lived long enough to know about the technology of digital photography. you know, i feel very blessed to have lived through a generation shift of old school techniques and harmonize my knowledge, talent and skill with my art and passion of photography. it is an invigorating experience and i do not take any moment of it for granted. please feel free to view my artistic photography at www.joanayoungphotography.com |
| Favorite movies | i have a great love and appreciation for nature. it is interesting when people say that i have a good eye. i feel when i shoot and it drives me to see. i think if i were to teach or become a mentor, i would encourage to feel your shots. our instinct is marvelous. when we feel that it is right... those are the best photos... most photography teaching methods don't even cover this point... and for me it is the very foundation of my passion and expression. i feel that photography is an extension of who we are. it is all about us! so i encourage people to shoot what they are most excited about and it works! hehe there is no magic to it... our photos/images capture what we are feeling. if you ever see ansel adams photos... they are simple. nothing complicated... but truly magnificent. if you read his thoughts, he has an immense appreciation for nature and the beauty that it provides for us. you can FEEL his photos. it is marvelous!!!!!!!! |
What would you name your ballet inspired by the sight of children leaping through a garden sprinkler?
practice.. so no matter what type of camera, i'm shooting. i give myself my own challenges.. so i learn EVERY DAY!!! no more excuses... like the saying "be the ball"... i was the camera!!! ;)
