| Introduction | Born and raised in West Louisville on South 43rd Street, I grew up in a home that loved food, talked food, respected food and was exposed to a wide variety of foods. I naturally have a deep connection to and love for properly and tastefully prepared food items. My mother, Carrie and grandmother, Mollie motivated my love and passion for food as I stayed close to them in the kitchen whenever I could. Carrie, my mom was always very curious about different foods and recipes. She experimented with lots of different recipes although her interest was in Italian and French foods. She loved to bake desserts more than anything. Mollie, my grandmother was more of a southern cook who loved to bake pies. Lemon and Chocolate Pies were her specialities. This explains why I have always loved different types of foods and desserts. I have owned a dessert cafe (The Dessert Gallery) for the past five years and while desserts are my confessed weakness, I love a delicious meal. |
