Introduction	I belong to the rare species of final year students in Dr Gurinder Shahi's Technology and World Change Class. I have no experience blogging and am doing this as part of my course requirements. With an interest in waste and resource management, I hope this class will provide interesting insights and debates on how technology influences and changes the world, and how it can be better harnessed for the world's populations.
