Introduction	Hi everyone - and thanks for visiting my blog. I'm a health journalist in the UK and over the years, I've heard time and time again about nasty chemicals in everyday items causing cancer. We can't be sure what causes cancer but what we can be sure of is that cancer rates are rising. Scientists who analysed tumours in breast cancer patients found a chemical called parabens in every one. Parabens can be found in make-up, toiletries, toothpaste, processed food like ham and sausages and pastries. In my view, it's better to be safe than sorry, so what I'm attempting to do is to come up with a list of greener and more natural products for people to use. I'm trying whereever possible to make sure these are alternatives that can be easily found on shop shelves. My aim is to add one new product a day and hopefully, along the way, we'll encourage some of the bigger firms to cut parabens from their products. Thanks for your support.
