About me

Occupation Wool Shop
Location Morpeth, Northumberland, United Kingdom
Introduction Treacle opened in 2009, is situated next to the River Wansbeck in the pretty market town of Morpeth in Northumberland. The shop is in a characterful old building next door to The Chantry (built around 1296!) which houses the Tourist Office and Craft Centre. Owned by Kym, the shop prides itself on excellent customer service and strives to be part of the local community. The shop stocks something for all budgets from baby 4 ply to 100% alpaca, and offers a wide selection of yarns, accessories, patterns and magazines to inspire you. And if you can't find what you want, it can easily be ordered for you. Treacle has a wide range of unique gift items you won't find anywhere else in Morpeth, produced by local crafters including yarn bowls, corsages, buttons and more. If you are looking for something special, pop in and have a look - you don't need to be a knitter! You can shop online if you don't live locally and you can buy online and collect from the shop to save missing out on your chosen product! There are always great bargains to be had! The Treacle Knit2gether is held on the first Wednesday of the month (730-930pm, £3) and always welcome new members.
