Introduction Diana Brown has had a passion for photography since early childhood. Though the vagaries of life brought her down the road of professional makeup artist for film and television, she always loved both art forms. Rather than favoring one to the exclusion of the other, she managed to not only combine the two into a unique art form called living art, but to excel at each. Diana won an Emmy Award and Hollywood Guild Award for Best Makeup in 2003 for the television show “Alias”, and Best Experimental Photography Award for the original piece in her Vincent Van Gogh living art series. She feels as though Van Gogh’s influence has been embedded in her soul, for in the words of the Master himself, “Whether or not I have succeeded, I do think my work will be carried on, perhaps not exactly, but there are others how see the truth as I do.” In her words, “I am driven to carry on, though perhaps not exactly, but with great respect to the Master.” This is her version, the living version. Other photography that Diana enjoys shooting is Portraiture that captures the essence of one’s life and interactions and her personal fine art projects that include when possible artistic character makeup.
