Introduction	I:Do you perhaps know my very good friend John Dos Passos? She: Yes,I know comrade Dos. I like him. But I think he's strange("stranyeh"). I: Why? She: Well, when he was here, somebody gave him a doll; the doll was wrapped in paper;then comrade Dos tore out a piece of paper opposite the doll's face;and when I asked him why, what do you suppose he said? I:What? She:He said, and seriously, "pour qu'elle peut respirer" ... so that the doll can breathe.
