| Introduction | It is strange to reveal who I am to an unknown reader. I'm originally from southwestern Ontario and came to the west coast via the head of Lake Superior. I've learned to live with an umbrella instead of a snow shovel. I'm a Fine Arts graduate of Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey BC. It is interesting to have less time ahead of me then there is behind. Consequently the subject matter of my art often reflects this fact. I am also curious about memory, what we remember and how. How other people's memory affects our story. And how cultural roles and experience contribute to our identities. While walking the streets of Paris and Barcelona I could not help but think about the passage of human history. What collective memories are lingering there to this day? |
