| Introduction | My folks hauled me, my brother and my sister over the Alcan in a bus converted to a motorhome from Minnesota to Alaska when I was eight years old. We moved to Anchorage and lived in our bus/motorhome while the ground level of our house was being built. My father passed away that first year, but my mom stayed on with the three of us kids, and remarried the man she is still with about a year later. The family grew to a total of eight and we lived in Anchorage in the winter and Homer in the summer. After graduating from high school I spent a few summers living in Denali (then known as McKinley Park) while I was completing my undergraduate studies in Computer Science at Oregon State University. A couple years later I went on to obtain my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, West. Since then I have been living in Citrus Heights, California raising two absolutely beautiful children, and taking life one chapter at a time. |
| Interests | I love to build things--hand work stuff (sewing, knitting, etc), woodwork stuff (decks, play houses, etc), and even job-related stuff (like cool Excel spreadsheets) |
| Favorite movies | I'm a chic...I like chic flicks. To round things out a bit, though, I also like action/adventure. 'Avoid horror at all costs! |
| Favorite music | Rock & Roll, baby! (Although I must admit I also like smooth jazz a lot, too :) |
| Favorite books | There's nothing like a really, really good, juice story to get me lost in a good book, be it a smut novel, or a good junior novel series like Ink Heart, et al. I'm also a sucker for self-help/self-introspection/self-realization writings :] |
