Introduction	I was born in the Midwest, where I grew up and went to a Lutheran College. I lived in San Diego over 20 years (going to SDSU for graduate school), moved back to Colorado in 1984, where I made my home and raised my son. I was laid off my job after 20 years of working with the families of children with special needs and as this had been so fulfilling, I wasn't ready to quit work. I applied various places, asking God to direct me and he led me to the amazing continent of Africa through the Evangelical Lutheran Church - Global Mission. I walk with the Lutheran Communion in Southern Africa (LUCSA) member churches in 9 countries, assisting with the LUCSA AIDS Action Program. The last two years have been an amazing experience. Although I'm in my 60's, I continue to learn so much from all of the people here and open my heart to each new beautiful day.
