Fresh Collective
My blogs
| Introduction | Fresh Collective is an amazing boutique on Toronto's fashionable Queen Street West. Started in 2003, by Laura-Jean Bernhardson, the designer behind the clothing line Fresh Baked Goods, the shop sells the work of about 20 local designers, most of whom are involved as members, meaning they contribute toward the expenses and work one day a week of working in the shop. The shop is a fantastic win/win situation: the designers benefit by having a space to call their own and sell their work seven days a week, and the customers have an incredible selection of unique clothing, jewellery, accessories and kids stuff. The stock changes almost daily as designers bring in new merchandise as they make it, and new designers are joining all the time. The shop is famous in Toronto and elsewhere for it's great mix of well-made, well-priced fun stuff, and for the friendly, helpful staff who run the place. |
