Introduction I'm a mamma to four amazing kids! I homeschooled my first three kids with two now in university, one in highschool and my youngest attends a great public school taking french immersion. I am passionate about issues pertaining to woman and children, and I care deeply about the issues facing many people who are poor and marginalized. I believe in natural parenting, gentle, consistent discipline and that woman are amazingly strong & wise. I am strongly opinionated, fiercly loyal, open to change, protective of my loved ones, a worrier with a c'est la vie attitude, a Christian who struggles daily to keep it simple and not get bogged down by the rhetoric. I struggle with wanting to live a lifestyle that is self-sufficient and slower but with a Starbucks nearby! I admire honesty, loyalty, kindness and a willingness to help others... I watch to see if words spoken line up with actions.
Interests yard sales, decorating with yardsale treasures, vintage jewellery, quirky metal items, old vintage toys and plants for my garden...especially plants from old, established gardens! i also enjoy writing, poetry...though i'm to shy to share, gardening, pantries, home grown veggie gardens, herb gardens, homemade candles, oils & vinegars, herbal remedies, cooking, taking photos, decorating, organizing..to relax I can clean a closet and feel great! Right now, I am focusing on fixing up our new/old home. it is a typical 1970 cape cod with many great features that need some tlc which we are happy to provide!
Favorite Books I love old books, I love the beautiful covers, the smell, the fancy handscript of previous owners from long ago...I love imagining who the previous owner was all those many years ago! I tend to read a few different books at once...there is usually books of poetry by my chair in the livingroom and my all time favourite The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, my Bible is on my night table, another one by my chair, in my mini-van. I also love Oswald Chambers My Utmost for His Highest & Victor Shepherd's Our Evangelical Faith. Elie Wiesel Night and Shake Hands with the Devil stands out for the contrasts in human spirit and depravity. The Red Tent...wow!

You've been invited to a fancy ball but the only thing you have to wear is an orange wooly jumper. What shoes do you wear?
