Introduction	I am an undergrad student taking an honors course on politics and music. For my class blog I will be analyzing various politically charged songs, focusing on a different genre of music each week. Throughout the summer I plan to explore Hip-Hop/Rap, Country, Rock&Roll, and Pop/Alternative. I intend to analyze individual songs, while using them to compare and contrast entire genres. Posts will be based on my own interpretations of both the politics and the music involved, but feel free to comment with your own viewpoints as well. After all, the artists write and sing these songs only to spark our discussions about the issues.
