| Introduction | I am a normal Mum & Wife who is passionate about saving money, and not spending on things that don't really matter. I have been challenged over the past year to pay off our debt, become debt-free, and be able to spend our money however we wish, without being slaves to debt like most of the world is. Listening to the radio yesterday, I heard that 75% of New Zealander's are living pay-cheque to pay-cheque. I find that so sad - mainly because I've been there, through my own stupidity. Spending money on 'STUFF' that has clogged up our house, my wardrobe, and our cupboards. I am currently watching one of the many auctions I have listed on Trade Me at the moment... selling many of the items that I "had to have" - some of which I have never worn. Hmmm. That says so much about me. I love to shop - I get a real high from walking out of a shop with bags of stuff. It is the best way to cheer myself up, no matter what happens! I am re-training myself to get that buzz from NOT spending. Hope I can inspire you to do the same! |
