IntroductionI am a 34 year old guy who teaches 3rd grade in Prince George's County along the D.C. to Baltimore corridor. I am a former Baltimore City teacher who has been through the trenches of inner city teaching. Over the past eight years, I have worked extremely hard at the craft of teaching. I truly care about the achievement of every student who passes through my classroom. Hopefully, by the end of the year my students will achieve more than they thought and had some character instilled in them along the way. When I'm not teaching, I'm usually involved in sports, fitness, and hanging out with friends. Usually, I can be found at the gym. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends whether it be downtown in D.C. or Baltimore. However, I'm content to just "marinate at the pad," too. I need that time to recharge and reflect on things. I can flex my mental, too. I'm a chess fiend and enjoy playing it with friends and my students. Last, I'm a good guy who has a lot of goals and aspirations, which include earning a master's degree in Kinesiology, and becoming a Physical Education teacher. So it's full steam ahead, I have to keep churning through the experience.
