| Introduction | Hoofer Outing Club, based on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, is one of the largest outdoor recreation organizations in the Midwest. A hearty corps of 400+ outdoor enthusiasts of all skill levels trek throughout the US and beyond on foot, ski, snowshoe, in canoes, on kayak, and just about any other way you can imagine. Outing club activities include caving, backpacking, sea kayaking, whitewater kayaking, canoeing, camping, road and mountain biking, cross-country skiing, telemark skiing, and snowshoeing.
