| Introduction | I have been painting and drawing my entire life, but have become very serious about it since my retirement in November of 2007. I work mostly in acrylics, and find painting to bring me much peace and enjoyment. I am always surprised by what I envision, and by what actually comes through on the canvas.My daughter is featured in many of my paintings (Earthly Angels Are Not Afraid to Fly,First Walk on the Beach,and others),and is my Virgin Mary model.My grandson (After his Bath,Sleeping Virgin with Infant Jesus,Baby on the Beach,First Walk on the Beach))and my granddaughter (Ashley at the Window,Last Blossoms) are also featured in many of my paintings.I have recently developed a passion for painting florals and birds,which I find mentally and spiritually freeing.This blog contains a few of my favorites.Sorry the photos do not do justice to the intense color and vibrancy of the actual paintings (my camera and I are still brainstorming that issue),but I hope you enjoy them.I also do portrait paintings from photographs for a reasonable price.
