Introduction	I am currently the second-year Oberlin Shansi Fellow at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta (Jogjakarta) Indonesia where I teach English and American Cultural Studies, play violin with the school gamelon orchestra, run English after-school activities, and generally love my students. Outside of school, I study Bahasa Indonesian, handmade leatherworking, and Indonesian Islam and the Qur'an. I also have the opportunity to travel to other parts of Indonesia and South/Southeast Asia. This blog is dedicated to the cultural exchange aspect of my fellowship, which is constant, and alternately frustrating and exhilarating. Join me in my second year, which if anything like the past one, will be full of stories!
