| Introduction | First and foremost, I identify myself as a wife and mother...make that "Mama." My husband, Bryan, and I have a wonderfully rambunctious 20 month old girl and just had our second daughter December 7th. (Poor Daddy, he's so outnumbered!) I also work outside our home as a nurse at St Joseph's Hospital, in Phoenix. For the most part, I decided to start this blog as a way to keep in touch with our family and friends during our hospitalization, but I also hope that by documenting our experience having a baby with a congenital heart defect (CHD) I will be able to offer support and reassurance to other families in similar situations. I'll describe our family's journey from diagnosis to birth and finally recovery:) Looking forward to the day when I can write about life outside the hospital! |
