| Introduction | I have been teaching elementary music since 2005. It has been a wonderful journey and I can't wait to see what's still ahead! I currently teach K-5 music and love to watch children laugh and smile as they learn. I have my Masters degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music. I have also completed Orff Level I and the Orff Curriculum and Design (Loved them both!). I have taken an ETM course (Education Through Music) and a class on Music Learning Theory. I hope to get some Kodaly training in the future too! And maybe some Dalcroze--I think it's good to take the best from every method! In addition to all of the fun teaching, I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters (and a few furry friends!). In my "spare" time, I also enjoy putting my teaching materials on Teachers Pay Teachers. |
