Introduction DREAM BIG! I began this journey in the fall of 2009 when I made the tough decision to resign my coaching positions in the school district that I teach. I was coming off my best summer of racing triathlons and I decided to devote my time outside of teaching and family to finding my potential in the sport of triathlon. I went "all in" in 2009 and earned my professional license in the sport when I won the amateur division of the Ironman Longhorn 70.3 in Austin, TX on October 25th. My new goal is to prove I belong in the professional races. I hope to inspire others to believe that anything is possible if you set high goals and work like crazy to achieve them. I have been married to a wonderful and supportive wife (Jen) and have two beautiful children (Payton and Owen). My personal best for the Olympic Distance is 1:59:24 in Chicago and 4:00:58 for the 1/2 Ironman in Racine, WI (on a short swim). I believe with continual committment and a strong mind I have much more potential in this sport. I look forward with great passion and enthusiasm to finding it! DREAM BIG!!
