| Introduction | At the end of 1990, a group of student from University Utara Malaysia shared with us the need for a church in Changlun. After some time of prayer, the vision to plant a church was born in our hearts. In early 1991, the top floor of a shoplot was rented. Preparations for the first worship service were carried out with the students cleaning up the building and equipment were sent over from Alor Star. The first Sunday service was offically started by Rev. Elisha Foong on the 28th of April 1991 at 7.30pm, joined by dtudents and some members of FGC Alor Star, making up a total attendance of 70, filling the premise fo full capacity. Throughout the past 16 years, many batches of students have come and left upon graduation. Average weekly attendance at present stands around 35. In recent times, some National Service trainees and students from Kolej Matrikulasi Kedah have been regularly joining the service here. Currently the pastor for FGC Changlun is Pastor Leonard from Alor Star |
