If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?

I suppose it would probably get pretty old after telling my ship mates to "swab the poop deck" unless there were actually poop there. In this case I would make sure there was an adequate supply of poop on the poop deck...allowing it to keep the name and me laughing.
