Introduction	Since being diagnosed with Parkinson's in July 2009 I have been working to raise the profile of this condition, as well as raising funds to go towards research. I am a Patient Advocate of The Cure Parkinson's Trust and fully support their aims to find a cure for this illness. Since joining the Policy Panel at Parkinson's UK, I have also taken on the role of Parliamentary Ambassador, working with MP's and the Government on issues which have a direct impact on people living with Parkinson's. I am also working with the European Parkinson's Disease Association (EPDA), the umbrella organisation for Parkinson's Disease which represents 45 member organisations across the EU.
