| Introduction | My passion for health care access issues began 20 years ago as Executive Director of Doctors Care, a clinic that serves the low income and uninsured. My time in physician recruitment and business development for Porter Hospital exposed me to critical challenges in our health care system as did my experience as Administrator of a private orthopedic surgical practice. That diverse experience has given me the ability to identify the issues that undermine our health care system and conclude why health care reform is not only necessary, but mandatory.
