IntroductionWriter of YA fiction. Mom, wife, chauffeur, all-purpose slave, maker of slop, and keeper of the asylum keys. I love to write, it keeps me sane. As a mother of six, I'm told I qualify otherwise--so here's my pen's salute before battle. Reading helps me escape, but I often can't find what I'm looking for in someone else's work, and when I do, it's over too quickly. I am a creator, an artist, and I look at the world as a director would view a set, seeking the best angles for the story I need to portray. To date, I have completed three novels and am working on half a dozen fourths.
Interestswriting, reading, gardening, sewing, dreaming big dreams, shopping (all sorts), drawing, photography, friends, family, decorating, historical buildings, the baking of things I shouldn't eat, long walks outside, seasonal splendor, nature, love, and anything beautiful
Favorite moviesIt's so hard to pick a favorite anything, like, 'which is your favorite kid?' But a few of the movies I most enjoyed are: Labyrinth, The 10th Kingdom, Pride and Prejudice, Ocean's 11, 12, and 13, Mulan, and most of the Disney stuff.
Favorite musicI like all sorts of music, pop, classical and some heavy metal. But no opera- unless there's an orchestrating phantom in it.
Favorite booksOMG, loads and loads. Mostly YA stuff, but historical romances, too. Things with action, adventure and a few mushy love scenes. I loved Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and the lot of Tamora Pierce's Tortal adventures.

Aren't papier mache cuts the worst?

Honestly, nothing beats a papier mache cut, 'cause first you cut yourself, and then you can wrap it all up in a perfectly unsanitary cast. Just sit still long enough for it to harden and try not to paint said cast to look like a pinata. Cheers!
