| Introduction | Welcome! My name is Meridith Axt and this blog is a place for art to overflow and offer solidarity, hope, and encouragement. Here you’ll find musings, tidbits from my life, pictures, and poetry. I am married to an amazing man named Jason, and we have been gifted with four wild and wonderful children ~ Nathaniel Jason (11), Ezekiel Aiden, 'Zeke' (9), Titus Jeremiah (7), and Anina Mercy (5). Jason is a pediatric surgeon, and we currently live and work in Kenya with a program called Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS). PAACS trains and mentors African physicians as they become surgeons. We are so thankful to be a part of this work and these relationships. |
| Interests | A few random facts about us… • We have moved every 1-2 years of our married life, including 4 international moves (though now finally in the same place for 4 years!) • I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked as a nurse for 6.5 years. • Jason’s grew up working summers on his grandparents' farms in North Dakota. • I grew up in and around Nashville, TN, before it was the hipster place to be. • We have 4 precious babes in heaven, who hold a huge part of our stories and hearts. • We lived for 1.5 years in Cameroon, West Africa, and thought we would raise our children there. • We are continually seeking to know more of what it means to love and be loved by Jesus, and to find Home in Him. • We are way too serious – trying to laugh more in the midst of the everyday crazy. |
