Introduction I am a happy homemaker living in a little woodsy spot with my husband and three teenage kids! To the frustration of everyone I live with, I'm a bit of a hoarder, and I always have something going on (and often two or three things! lol) -- gardening, canning, crocheting, baking, sewing, painting or fixing my house, building something, searching for things online, or sitting in a quiet spot looking at my favorite country/primitive magazines!! Oh, and SOMETIMES....cleaning the house!! LOL (well, maybe I just have ADD?) I LOVE the Early American/ primitive style, so most of what I do is trying to duplicate that somehow! Of course, in a modular ranch from 1999, it's a bit of a challenge....but I'm always trying!! (and dreaming!) Since I don't DO texting or Facebook, this blog is my way of sharing what I'm doing, especially with Amy, who thinks I should be texting her everything!! Of course, you have to VISIT my blog to be able to read it, right...?? :-P ENJOY!! :-)
Interests Early American/Primitive decorating, needlework, crochet, painting, gardening, canning, baking, cooking, sewing, being around children (especially my own!), helping/rescuing animals, making things with wool and wood!
Favorite Movies Pride & Prejudice (BBC), Downton Abbey, Jane Eyre, The Green Mile, The Birds, You Can't Take It With You, Philadelphia Story, and LOTS more!!
Favorite Music I love so many different kinds of music -- from New Age to Metallica! The only kinds I DON'T like are Country and Rap (which is not really music). It all depends on what mood I'm in -- but I guess Classical is the one kind I'm always in the mood for (Mozart, Beethoven, violin), but I also LOVE Indian Flutes and Celtic music anytime too!! I just LOVE music!
Favorite Books Pride & Prejudice, Persuasion, The Hiding Place, The Stand (King), Little Women, Jane Eyre -- what about MAGAZINES?? (my passion!!)....A Primitive Place TOPS the list, Country Sampler, and older Country Living (70s-80s)
