Introduction was born and raised in Chicago, IL and live in the South Shore area of the city. My parents were born in Louisiana and moved to Chicago in the late 1940s. They were both very loving and nurturing. I have six siblings (two brothers and four sisters) and we all live within close proximity. I am community minded and am a member of an active community organization. I work at and attended Northeastern Illinois University's (NEIU) Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS). I earned my BA and MA degrees in Inner City Studies Education (ICSE) and my MA in Communication, Media, and Theater (CMT). I am the Administrative Assistant to the ICSE faculty and an adjunct instructor at CCICS in the ICSE program.  I am very interested in learning more about my African history and culture. I also work to share this knowledge with my students and community in various ways. Being able to ulitlize the tools of technology will enhance this process and help me to reach and impart this knowledge to more people in more places.
Interests I enjoy numerous artistic genres. I enjoy watching and analyzing films. I have a passionate interest in African history and culture and improving the quality of education for our children. I am eager to learn new technologies to assist me to that end.
