| Introduction | Hi, I am Harley Jay. I just finished playing the role of Mark Cohen in the Rock Musical Rent on Broadway in New York after being in the National Tour for a year! I just finished recording two records one is a Broadway Cover Tunes Album Called "Between 41st & 53rd" and the other is my first ever original material record called "Without Wax." | Favorite movies | Wedding Crashers, Fight Club, V for Vendetta (That's a new one) Goonies, Ray, The Aviator, Fast and the Furious, How to Loose a Guy in 10 Days, Pal Joey, To Kill a Mocking Bird, The Notebook (Yes I actually thought that movie was good...I wanted to never fall in love EVER but I did like it, leave me alone) Waiting, Just Friends, Point Break, Lords of Dog Town, Dog Town and Z Boys, Napolean Dynamite (I gotta support my buddy John) Anchorman, Magnificent 7, Citizen Kane, Shane, A Streetcar Named Desire, all of the Indiana Jones movies, Jerry Macguire, Dead Poets Society, Top Gun Seven...Theres a billion man i could go on forever... You get an idea I think. |
| Favorite music | Anything Broadway especially things with a Rock N'Roll type feel such as RENT, The Who's TOMMY, HAIR, BRIGHT LIGHTS BIG CITY, ALL SHOOK UP, WICKED, WEST SIDE STORY, TITANIC the musical, WE WILL ROCK YOU, TABOO, SIDE SHOW, Anything written by Stephen Sondheim. If it's not a musical Harley's influences would consist of Buchanan, Mercury Rose, John Waite, Mr. Big, Van Tramp, Journey, Styx, Keith Urban... The list goes on and on. |
| Favorite books | I wasn't very much into reading until I had nothing to do a couple of weeks ago and started to read a book on Sinatra called "The Way You Wear Your Hat" LOVED IT... I might start to read a little more, any suggestions? |
