Introduction I am a Central Indiana artist that enjoys painting in a variety of media with a flavor of impressionism in my representational style. I grew up in the small farm town of Hartford, Wisconsin and attended classes at the University of Wisconsin. I continued to study as I raised her children and followed my husband’s career around the world. Upon arriving in Indiana I took classes at the Indianapolis Art Center and was inspired by Sally Kenley whom I studied with for several years. Still searching for further enrichment I studied under Anthony J. Padgett and continued my training with John Reynolds, an accomplished oil painter. I found a mentor in Gayla Hodson, a very creative artist and a tremendous source of encouragement. I am a long time member of the Hamilton County Artists Association as well as the Stutz Artist Association. I have a love of wildflowers, motorcycles, and the open road which are central themes to my work. I have also built a reputation of depicting her friends and family as subjects of thought-provoking, introspective pieces.
