Introduction	Revati Gangal (born 1981) grew up in Mumbai and earned her Masters in Fine Arts (specialising in portraiture) from the prestigious Sir J.J. School of Art. She currently lives in Pune after spending a few years in Dubai, Bengaluru and Mumbai. Besides India, her paintings have been displayed at art galleries across the world’s major cities including Paris, London, Brussels, Dubai, Muscat, Doha and Manama. My paintings portray the researching and re-thinking of my journey of self-exploration. They reflect the various phases of my life from teenage to adulthood, from marriage to motherhood, and the quest to regain my individuality. My subjects deal with the impact of frequent uprootment and unsettlement, challenges of exclusion and rejection, disappointments and disagreements while rediscovering the self. It’s not always the negatives, but the positive experiences of love, affection, compassion, belonging and learning also contribute to my expression.
Interests	Passionate about movies, photography, travelling, exploring new roads, music; almost every enriching thing life has to offer.
