Introduction	The Akimbo Manifesto: To conceptualise, develop, organise, perform, present, host, document, capture, interact, install, network and play. Description Akimbo works on two levels, that of hosting events and offering support and assistance to other creatives who wish to showcase their ideas under the Akimbo Collective umbrella. Having produced events across Queensland, Northern NSW and Victoria, Akimbo aims to rally dilettantes and novices to become actively involved in creative play by; • offering assistance with launches, live performances, community events, work creation and play. • encouraging creative collaboration between emerging and established artists and 'non artists'. • providing space and opportunity through multi-disciplinary collaboration. History: Unbeknownst to its founders, the collective began sometime in the spring of 1979. In 2007, belinda suzette and constantlykate decided that their various innovative projects, revolutionary ideas and creative adventures could conglomerate under the same glorious umbrella.
