Introduction I'm Bill Randall, a Green Party City Councillor in Brighton and Hove, where I represent the Hanover and Elm Grove Ward. A councillor since 2003, I am the Convenor (that's the closest we get to a leader) of the 13-strong Green Group of Councillors. I've been a journalist all my working life - starting out on Jackie ('Hi chicks') in the 1960s. Nowadays I write about housing, communities and the environment. I'm married with three children and six grand-children. I support The Arsenal and The Albion, and I like a pint, particularly in the Sir Charles Napier or the Greys in Hanover. I also like music, the cinema, the theatre, looking at pictures and walking in the countryside with my wife. I believe the Green Party is the only political party in the UK that takes the threat of climate change seriously. It also believes in fairness and social justice. This blog represents my views and not those of the Green Party or Brighton and Hove City Council
