| Introduction | Interested in astronomy since childhood, I gained an MSc in computing and mathematical logic from Imperial College London and studied mathematics at Aberystwyth and the Open University. Along the way I also studied linguistics at SOAS and picked up a classics BA at University College London. I worked in academic computing for many years and am now retired. |
